Fifty years ago, a small group of aspiring businessmen pooled their resources and intellect in order to form a local bank.  A Bank that would be sensitive and responsive to the credit needs of both the citizens of Woburn and the small businesses located in our City.  Northern Bank & Trust Company is celebrating fifty years of proud service. 

Since we opened our doors at 327 Main Street in Woburn, we have experienced dramatic change.  From our humble beginning, we have grown into a comprehensive financial network with offices located throughout Middlesex County and assets in excess of half a billion dollars.  As the Bank has grown and prospered we have relocated our headquarters in Woburn from 327 Main Street, to 6 Common Street, to 215 Lexington Street, to 275 Mishawum Road.  Always firmly planted in Woburn, always true to our slogan “Neighbors you can Bank on.”

For fifty years we have been inspired by our slogan, and in order to truly be “Neighbors you can Bank on” we have dedicated ourselves to customer and community service.  We have continued to provide credit and safeguard your deposits in both the good and the difficult times.

I am grateful to the staff, officers, and directors of the bank for their dedicated service to both the Bank and the Community.  We are proud of our service and we are humbled by your loyalty and support.

I wish to thank you our loyal customers.  It is through your loyalty that we have been able to maintain our independence, and because of that loyalty we have been able to serve the financial needs of the communities we serve over these fifty years.
