Senior Network Administrator

As a Senior Network Administrator, you will serve as the technical and subject matter expert in maintaining the network and server infrastructure.
 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide administration for all aspects of network operations including firewalls, VPN, routing, switching, network segmentation, wireless, backups, IPSec and content filtering.
  • Manage backup infrastructure including Veeam and Cloud DR
  • Manage multi-hypervisor and cloud technologies including Vmware, Hyper-V, AWS and Azure cloud platforms including support and experience within multi-cloud and hybrid IT configurations
  • Security vulnerability, Intrusion Prevention and remediation
  • MFA, Certificate based authentication and device hardening experience required
  • Keep up to date with the latest threats and attack methods
  • Maintaining and creating documentation
  • NOC and SOC management and experience with PRTG
  • VOIP phone administration
  • On premise, SAN and cloud server virtualization
  • Computer lifecycle management, hardware acquisition and inventory management
  • Database management
  • Coordinate with I.T. Director to develop and maintain company security policy
  • Evaluate new technologies for possible implementation
  • Manage Group Policy and Active Directory
  • Provide Tier 2 Support to helpdesk support requests from local and remote users
  • Train and educate end users on proper security techniques, trends and procedures
  • Maintain hardware and software license compliance
  • Office 365, Azure and Amazon Web Services Experience
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years of IT experience as a Network Engineer/Administrator in an SMB/Enterprise environment
  • 2+ years supporting Firewalls, routers, and switches
  • 4+ years of providing excellent desktop and end user support
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours and travel when required
  • Willingness to travel to remote locations when necessary
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to convey technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical personnel
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure and AWS environments
  • Understanding of VOIP Telephony
  • Understanding of Fortinet Firewall and Fortinet technology family including FortiAnalyzer
  • ITIL Foundation certification a plus
  • Security+, Network+, CCNA R/S or CCNA, NSE 1 – 8 Security certifications a plus
