Outbound Sales Specialist I

 
The Outbound Sales Specialist I is responsible for utilizing their advanced knowledge and people skills in order to promote and sell Northern Bank’s products and services via telephone, email or other social media. In addition, they will be responsible for providing product support to Northern Bank Customers via telephone and email.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
  • Contact potential business customers using phone, email and other social media in order to gain appointments for Branch and Cash Management Sales staff and management.
  • Contact potential and existing retail customers using phone, email and other social media in order to acquire new customers or upsell existing customers.
  • Responds to inquiries and requests from external, internal, and potential customers
  • Update lead and opportunity activities using Salesforce CRM
  • Research and resolve sales issues related to the Bank’s products and services
  • Report weekly sales goals and objectives results
  • Maintain contact with existing clients as directed to verify that they are satisfied
  • Request referrals from existing contacts
  • Attend trainings to stay up to date with the specifications of new products and service offerings
  • Guides online users through the Banks consumer and business electronic banking services, including but not limited to, mobile banking, RDC, bill-pay, and external transfers
  • Research and resolve issues related to the Bank’s products and services
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Outbound Sales
  • Familiarity with Bank deposit products and services
  • Basic knowledge of Cash Management services
  • Basic knowledge of Bank policies and procedures including those governed by Federal or State Regulations
  • MS Office applications
  • FIS IBS Insight
  • Salesforce CRM
  • BA degree in Finance, Marketing or similar relevant field
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
