Jr. Salesforce Developer/Administrator

Job Description:

Northern Bank is looking for an energetic, problem-solving junior Salesforce administrator to provide ongoing user support to meet business needs. The successful candidate will work with internal users to add new capabilities and troubleshoot issues within Salesforce. The business goals for this role are: to act as a primary contact for day-to-day maintenance and user support; to provide analysis to senior Salesforce administrators for enhancement opportunities; and to drive user adoption by helping users feel comfortable using a platform that will see continuous change over the coming years.  The successful candidate can expect to be given expanded responsibilities for new feature development as they demonstrate mastery of the business and day-to-day responsibilities.  Northern Bank has a strong history of providing clear advancement opportunities for Admins who demonstrate potential and interest.

 

The position will report to the Salesforce Team Manager. Candidates with a computer science background, seeking on-the-job Salesforce training and career advance opportunities or that have recently started developing on platform are ideal. The role requires strong internal customer-facing skills, you will be expected to support teams with the system by keeping explanations non-technical and help us identify support trends for future development opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage maintenance tasks as assigned such as creating new reports, bulk data updates, document generation template maintenance and triage of support cases
  • Generate monthly readout of issues, both ones that were simply user education and system to keep the team aligned on questions and problems within the business
  • Collaborate with Salesforce team on user trends to identify enhancement opportunities
  • Partner with in-house trainer to make data-driven recommendations about curriculum for existing and new employees
  • Act as the primary point of contact for daily user support
  • Complete maintenance and enhancement work items in support of projects as assigned by the Team Manager

 

Skills & Attributes:

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce platform out-of-the-box functionality and configuration
  • Broad understanding of capabilities within Salesforce.com
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and organizational skills
  • Strong troubleshooter with a willingness to help end users
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, work independently and as a team
  • Excellent ability to handle and prioritize multiple simultaneous requests and manage laterally, upwards and downwards depending on the project
  • Detail-oriented with strong planning skills and consistent follow-through

 

Experience:

  • Experience developing with Java/JavaScript or 1+ years working as a Salesforce administrator
  • Experience with document generation apps (Conga, DocGen, etc.) is a plus
  • General knowledge of web-based programming (Apex, Lightning Components, SOAP/REST based web services, JavaScript, CSS, SOQL/SQL)
